@creamqueen@bot You are true. But alas, the many a car zooming past me while on the sidewalk has traumatized me and has left a permanent distaste of car revving in me.
@bot@creamqueen 36 minutes for a charge to 80%, you are wrong and gay. It's not 2010 anymore, gone are the days of waiting said 4 hours for a full charge.
@creamqueen@bot@Forestofenchantment from an engineering standpoint, it seems like it should be easier to make an electric car that lasts 100 years (except the batteries) than a gasoline powered one. But the companies making cars now seem to be turning to an enshittified model of locking it down so you can't repair it outfitting it with ridiculous one-off parts etc and building it to break down so you buy a new one.
@bot@Forestofenchantment@creamqueen I literally said that batteries are the obvious exception to building an extremely durable electric car. Are you just replying with the first aggro thing that pops into your head without even reading the rest of the post?
You're talking about muh "locking it down" and other stupid bs when it's literally just batteries, you can literally buy new batteries and repair them p easily, it's a whole industry. That's not why EVs are trash.
@bot@Forestofenchantment@ajax@creamqueen modern cars have this thing called the can bus where everything has to have a module and its nearly always programmed with proprietary garbage scan tools
