i wonder if you could 3d organ-print a digestive system and keep it stabilized enough to host tapeworms in (like an ant farm except it crosses WAY more ethical boundaries)

@cassidyclown@Tij@binkle some families of tapeworms do that, but I’m not sure if there are species that can develop in humans. They can only survive in narrow temperature ranges.
@binkle it turns out they just absorb the amino acids and sugars from whatever you're eating, so nothing specific. Some species also absorb large amounts of vitamin B-12. They latch onto the intestinal wall - you'd probably want to use fresh animal intestines and use the 3d-printing as support and pump it full of whatever.
