@lapin My question is "why?". I don't see the solid reason for those changes both in code and in hardware specification. It does not improve anything and only it's included because someone feels guilty for something that happened one and half century.

yes, the whole reason is, very obviously, to virtue signal. that’s all there is to it, changing git’s default branch name from “master” to “main” for example, or this whole “problematic, NON-INCLUSIVE master/slave” thing
this fork is also a prime example that most of these people can’t code for shit, they simply like patting themselves on the back for being against “non-inclusivity” or whatever the fuck.
