@icedquinn Don't worry, the transplants work by stuffing it through the backdoor. Now bend over and squeal like a pig.

@kaia @icedquinn The amount of mumbo jumbo that comes from these people are the reasons why it's not taken seriously by the medical world. There's that exact same issue when dealing with soil paramagnetism, it's always surrounded by acid filled brains that will cite the energy of the universe instead of trying to advance the research in the field.

@mangeurdenuage @kaia i stay away from so much of it i forget about those people :ablobcatohlookaround:

@mangeurdenuage @kaia there are some unfortunate other reasons a lot of medicine doesn't get researched. most of the funding i'm told comes from big corpos who are paid to make you in to a paypig, not cure you, and a six thousand dollar injection of cloned stem cells that stitches your liver back together and cures your diabetes isn't a good business deal compared to milking you 1000$ a month for life with paypig palliatives.

so the funding isn't there to do much more than exploratory studies on these things, and when those studies are favorable the R&D community just waves their hands like "n<300, study is meaningless" and they all continue acting like there is no evidence a parachute works*. unless its neurology, in which case they get to make sweeping proclamations of truth in n=1 studies.

or they do a study and don't follow the directions. the protocol will say like "use 5,000 mg of bioavailable vitamin c" so the lab will shoot the patient up with rock salt and then go rip didn't work. (the amount of papers during the covid bullshit i read where the researchers couldn't follow simple instructions...)

  • there was an actual article about how there is no medical evidence a parachute will save you from falling out of a plane
