@Dan_Hulson@kybermace@Hoss@tyler they had a whole buttergate thing here in 2021 because farmers were trying to keep up with demand (after they fucking tossed millions of litres of milk) so they fed the cows more palm oil and shit to produce more milk fats which resulted in butter that wouldnt even spread at room temp. its fucking stupid

We bought a big pork belly (with skin and nipples) for like $38. But we will get a lot of bacon out of it. It's a lot of work to get it right but on bacon I think we save somewhere between 50-75% by doing it ourselves?
I have a feeling a lot of these conveniences are going to come to an end soon.
