@Dan_Hulson looking at NAS to maybe decommission one of my storage array servers since it's mostly music/tv/movies (like 8 18TB drives) since the hardware is starting to have failures and its not really worth it to buy a 200$ backplane when the servers worth that much innit looking at this one qnap.com/en/product/ts-873a
@brokenshakles@Dan_Hulson sony had the best designed hi-fi equipment throughout the 90s. I actually started assembling a bad ass bit of kit but left it behind in a breakup (not by choice)
@Dan_Hulson@brokenshakles we get a lot of high end british audiophile stuff here like B&W, wharfedale and mission. those are the most common you see here for entry level higher-end hifi setups. all my stuff is klipsch out of indy, USA even me computer speakers. receiver is marantz which used to be UK but it's japanese/denon now
@Humpleupagus@brokenshakles@graf I miss a decent sound system in the house I threw all mine away when I renovated and just have a 4k TV. It is rather poo
@Dan_Hulson@Humpleupagus@graf Dammit our lives are going to turn into one of those cyberpunk point-n-clicks with the store that trades in antique stereo and electronic hardware.
@graf@Dan_Hulson That's pretty nice but also over $1k, right? I suppose it depends on if you want to avoid assembling a machine yourself; it'd give you even more drive bays, zfs and such.
