@RustyCrab I guess paradoxically if woke companies fail then it means we are getting close to the collapse of the government which made them push that propaganda in the first place... which is a good thing. if we can survive that...

@inertia I don't keep up with it much because there's nothing I can do about it but I did hear that starting in late 2023 they were running out of money to give away for free for being gay and retarded.
@binkle@inertia it's hard to say but being gay and retarded has been the dominant business strategy for almost a decade now. It's difficult to imagine management ever being able to shake the notion that being gay and retarded will no longer rake in cash (if that indeed is the case).
@binkle@RustyCrab Probably not. Once you hire the troon and wokies to run your HR department it's basically over. They decide who gets hired and you are left with a company that is woke because thats what the employees want.
Your CEO would have to fire a lot of people (possible) or let it burn to the ground and start a new company.
@inertia@RustyCrab yeah that's true. i have a VERY hard time believing leadership at my company could pull that off. if they manage it at all it'll probably be a quiet shuffling off or maybe taking advantage of some corporate restructuring that looks unrelated. i'm willing to bet a lot of companies will go that route
@binkle@inertia it's allegedly happening in a lot of places right now but it's probably just incidental. For years and years companies have been doing the hyper growth meme and then when the recession hit they had to drop a lot of their staff. If you're forced to chose between firing useful people and the chief of DIE... I mean, one at least hopes the decision is obvious if ESG is winding down (currently rebranding)
@RustyCrab@binkle it's not a bad thing if companies fail. Reform or replacement, no big difference in the end. Just as consumers we gotta stop being so attached to IPs.
