Soap destroys cell walls. Yet it does not affect skin because our outer skin is composed of dead skin cells anyways. Yet was puzzles me is, how do these dead skin cells stick to the skin? Why can't the soap water seep through this layer and attack my life points directly? Why don't baketeria have a layer of dead dead baketeria around themselves for protection?

It was huge, 3 meters tall the pyramid was bright gold but had the patterns of crystalline bismuth, its eyes were human and although every other aspect of it was crab like it was clearly ancient.

It radiated an aura of tranquility and wisdom but I instinctually knew I had to kill it, the more effort I put in to drive myself at it the weaker I became the crab part of it blurred an blurred until it became one giant all encompassing mass of legs and claws.

Did I invent a new type of noise? Has anyone heard of this before? Genuinely curious.

Basic idea is to sample white noise while clamping to be binary 0 or 1.
If between 2 pixels the value differs (e.g. 0 -> 1 or 1 -> 0) than there is an edge there.
On the resulting image mark all edges as black, the rest white.
Then layer of these noises on top of each other. Done

Pros:
>fast
>irregular paths
>guaranteed no dead ends
>very few islands

Very good for mazes or corridor generation. This new?

From watching a lot of devlogs and seeing how the games end up, it proves that game design is a real skill. It's hard to objectively measure, like writing quality, but it exists. Anyone can build a rogue-like - even a pretty one - but it does take skill to come up with a fun one.
Many people just copy popular game formulars (rogue-like, 2d rpg, metroidvania, factory sim).
Thinking like:
"my game has iron, copper, smelters, belts and assemblers! It must be fun"
But thats not true.

I'm using a persistent, coherent tripple buffer to stream indirect drawing commands. But the fencesyncs around it have a giant overhead.

Guess the demo was pretty cool with the very low response time conversations.
But obviously those features are not released yet, so it's all openAI controlled hype.
Still don't believe that the current approach is correct to achieve intelligence, but gotta say I never thought it would get this far.

Interstellar (2014)
A weird little alternate timeline movie with some pretty neat ideas. Unfortunately it keeps getting dumber and more implausible as it goes on (for reasons mostly unrelated to science fiction). It's still enjoyable and a pretty good popcorn movie if you don't think too hard about it.

I like the robots they use as well. They have a deceptively simple design that doesn't try to imitate humans but still provides interesting and efficient utility.

Small ding: whoever adult Murph is is a really bad actor.

(small spoiler) larger ding: the climax of the movie being someone looking at a malfunctioning watch and unlocking the secrets of the universe from that.

Neat movie though. Bit of an unusual thing for Hollywood to make.
