IMO one of fallout 76's worst elements was the confusied narrative. The whole point of the game was supposed to be "Rebuilding the wasteland", but the gameplay loop involves nuking Virginia constantly to kill the end game boss.

Imagine if instead you built a city with other high level players, and sending out beacons that your city is ready for more settlers attracted the big bad bosses?

Of course that would never happen because the developers are inept and had 0 idea or direction for the game, and hardly anyone plays it now. Oh well, hire me for the next one Bethesda.
