i've been trying to find ways to get shit on my steam deck faster, so i formatted my card as ntfs and started downloading from my pc instead. i have my wineprefixes set up on my sd card because i have the smol steam deck and i just realized that with how the drives are mounted symlinks are not supported and proton sobs uncontrollably that it can't create a symlink 🥀

@pasture the steam client now has a feature where it will download from your other computers that have the same games installed, that’s how I do it fast

@TeaTootler @pasture my internet speed maxes out the write speed of the sdcard but the max theoretical wifi5 speed is 780mbps and I regularly max that out on the deck. the chip being the limiting factor in most cases is one I wish I could swap
