@deprecated_ii I dunno gnome is limited in options but so far it's been nearly flawless in terms of operation. I couldn't even boot a live usb with KDE without running into a bunch of bugs in 5 minutes.
@RustyCrab nothing can be trusted because even when a bit of software accidentally pauses development in a high quality state, it's guaranteed that in 12-18 months the devs are going to fuck it up
@deprecated_ii on windows the general rule is "find an update you like and hold onto it for dear life". I have kept up to date on linux with no issues but thats because I've only been on Debian based stuff. Not sure what to expect from fedora but it's been nice not living in 2005
@RustyCrab Why doesn't every Linux Distro and every OS ever use tiling instead of floating windows by default?
It's just better. Nobody wants to search for windows below windows below windows and have windows not full screen ever.
First I used the default of Ubuntu (Unity I guess), and when I tried different window managers I quickly ended up with i3, configured it once to my liking, and since then never used a different one.
