Today is the day we begin the final march to the final match and the awarding of the crown. For the first quarterfinal match, we have a banger with two famous meme girls facing each other to determine who is the better meme.
Osaka has continued surprising and frustrating me. Having won multiple times in matches she should not have won. Still her sheer dumb luck in the face of all adversity has proven. This will be the match that determines if there is something more to that luck or if it was only just a meme caused by a freak accident. Osaka won ten votes less than Konata in Round Two, and Tatsumaki was not the mettle to test Osaka's prowess with, unlike the Racist, Anti-Demon Elf.
"BEST MEME GIRL FOR THE WIN," cries Poast's GLR, who helped Osaka steal the crown. Osaka apologized and gave back the crown, but GLR is still not to be trusted with national jewels, digital or otherwise.
Goalkeeper of the Nice Crew continues to mock the host's ability to predict Osaka's performance, "This is what you started doubters." It's all over for me.
Poast's Third Reich archivist Fash-E has posted this WWII poster-worthy proclamation, "OSAKA NEEDS YOUR HELP TO RESTORE THE REICH! WILL YOU VOTE HER BEST GIRL?"
** 8. Konata Wagner / Lucky Star **
Konata is a meme girl of many memes. While Osaka is a meme girl from how she behaves and talks in Azumanga Daioh, Konata is a meme girl from embracing the sweet otaku lifestyle
Fedi's resident scholar of the Spice and Wolf series has this to annouce to whole network, "Alcoholic Anime Grillism has taken the side of Konata in this fight."
The chief priest of the Fluffy School of Tenguism wants the blue haired otaku to win. "LETS GO KONATA!!!!"
Coldacid of Shitposter Club wants hag Konata, "Middle age Konata is def wife material." Had Konata is a cute and may have a supreme advantage over Osaka, whose hag version we have no idea about.
Some still blame Konata for what is called "the moe blob" which they claim has ruined modern anime, like AngryWraith. "Konata's a tranny and is disqualified." I have yet to receive any proof of that accusation and will not disqualify Konata.
After the Wise Wolf crushed the vampire night stalker, we come to the last match of Round 2, and a fitting match to end this round with. Today, an archetypal ara will face off against an archetypal loli.
** 6. Lum / Urusei Yatsura **
Lum won against a popular gyaru, having a more potent popularity and status that is firmly established long before there was even a Fediverse to host this tournament. She is THE classic anime girl to end all anime girls. That does not mean she is automatically the Fediverse's best anime girl, though being the classic brings a massive home field advantage. Another thing people have forgotten is that Lum is a monster girl and an alien, who wants to remain faithful to Ataru despite him being a womanizing manslut for most of the series.
There are still some doubts about Lum. She won as many votes in her match as Liru did in the Shinobu versus Liru match. Marin was also an easy opponent to beat, being new and being seen, rightfully or wrongfully, as a "flavor-of-the-month" girl. Shinobu does not have those disadvantages. Shinobu, while being seen mainly as a loli, has an Ara mode that is quite the looker. And obviously, being a monster girl is not an advantage when the other girl is a monster girl too.
"Lum will cook you dinner if you vote for her," says Poast's ElTigre. Though this may not be a home advantage for Lum. Shinobu is said to do wifely chores for you too.
When the Chief Lum Appreciator on the Fediverse, the Portegeuse lenged RealRaul, was asked to comment on this match, he gave only this response: "LUM! UUOOOOOOH!"
** 11. Shinobu Oshino / Monogatari **
Shinobu, or know by her vampire name KISS-SHOT-ACEROLA-ORION-HEART-UNDER-BLADE, performed very well against a surprisingly strong opponent. Showing off her kawaii aura and perfect charms, Shinobu defeated the werewolf with one of the highest vote counts under the current voting system.
Her biggest obstacle is dealing with the long standing impact Urusei Yatsura had and continues to have on otakus. The second season of Urusei's remake is still airing, while there was only an annoucement of something Monogatari-related in the last few months, and not necessarily a project Shinobu will appear in. Still, that's not as big a disadvantage, if you look at both Konata's and Osaka's performance.
Shinobu's husbando, kvit from the Vampire Maid Cafe, likes to remind everyone, "Beautiful, fun, vampire girl. I do hope you'll vote for her in the upcoming #BestAnimeGirlTourney match." Oh she is very cute! Thank you friend! :bebe:
Salty Apollyon, also known as rlier23 on Baest and Varis, has one simple word in support of Shinobu, "Sex!"
Karna of Poast has a weakness for cute and sexy vampires in simple dress, "The young adult shinobu in a white dress is kryptonite bros. UOOOOOOH!"
The poor vampire girl is getting crushed this first hour by the fluffy tail. Before this match, Holo held back her full strength, thinking that the she should show her gentle side, but now that she has, she will go all out on her opponents.
Nazuna is psychically strong, but she cannot stop a goddess. Is this match the utter end of the call of thenight, or will the vamp be a worthy opponent for the wise wolf.
Reminder to still vote, even if one girl is clearly going to win early on. It's fun to see how powerfully a girl can win even if it's clear she will.

** 3. Holo / Spice and Wolf **
The wolf goddess of wheat fields returns for the penultimate match of Round Two.
The Fluffy Tail Mafia's victory with Senko-san has embolden them and reignited their drive to get at least one fluffy girl to the final match. Holo is arguably the stronger girl then Senko-san, who is super saiyan strong herself. While some may point to the Round One match being lackluster for Holo, one has to remember that more or less five people pity-voted for Suiseiseki, including Holo fanboys.
A warning to wolf girl fans, the time for pity voting is over. From now on, this is war for your wolf girl's right to wear the Best Girl Crown.
Fediverse's chief Holo fan account, and possibly the secret account of Craft Lawrence himself, says it blunty, "There is only one choice here. You know what you must do; do your duty. ALL GLORY TO HOLO!" He also reminds us, "she defeated a bunch of usurers by quoting scripture at them and slaughtered a bunch of mercenaries in her travels." What a girl!
BasedLord from the Nice Crew believes this match will be easy for Holo. "It's that easy. Floof = voot every time."
** RR 19. Nazuna Nanakusa / Call of the Night **
Nazuna comes to face the wolf goddess after defeating the eldrtich kuudere from NGE, or that's Nazuna's goals at least. While Nazuna did well enough against the quiet Eva pilot, her performance compared to Holo, when you add any of Suiseiseki's pity votes back to Holo, is rather thin.
Her series too has suffered deeply in quality, according to a few Fedi frens like Rher and Marlin who have read the manga beyond the show's stopping point, while Holo's series is a banger from start to finish and the spin-off with her and Lawrence's daughter is fun.

Overnight, the fierce neck-and-neck super struggle continued. Both girls fought bitterly and brutally to get some kind of lead over the other.
Eventually, in the early morning, Anchovy received enough votes to break her tank free from the stranglehold Asuka learned from Shinji then commanded all the tanks from Anzio High to form a formation around Asuka's Eva. Other GuP schools have sent their own tank squads in solidarity of the sole representative of their series.
Il Duce's current lead is not significant and easily be surmounted by Asuka between now and the close of the match. Asuka bros need to push hard to take it back and Il Duce's followers need to push just as hard if they want to keep the lead.
Ever since Anchovy struck back and got close the lead, both girl's have been at each other's throats, kicking and screaming to get any advantage over the other.
Despite the theatrics, both are now at a visceral tie.
Who knows but God which girl will, if either, will achieve a strong lead in the morning? Until, then though, Oyasumi! :senko_nap:

Just a reminder, there are plenty of legitimate ways to boost your girl like bringing in people who don't usually care about anime to vote for them or posting art every few minutes. But do not cheat. I am not that stupid and fooled and I will not tolerate that behavior.
Asuka has both won as well as the implicit eternal match between Asuka and Rei.
ChristJuinor offers an alt reason for liking Asuka: "Asuka might be a raging cunt, but because of that and her great looks she's also outrageously Correctable, providing her with fierce, raw appeal that transcends the mediocrity of her overrated show."
He also reminds us that Asuka is also fascist, "Asuka has been fighting for us all this time, now it's our time to fight for her..." He quotes a libshit article that points to Asuka as a White Nationalist meme girl.

It's hard to measure Anchovy's performance in the main tournament though, as her opponent, Kurumi, received the least amount of votes in Round One and in the whole Main Tournament thus far.
ChristJuinor gives a succicent summary of Anchovy's qualties: "Italian, Fascist, nice hair, nice tummy, what's there not to like?" Mmmmm! Fascist pizza girl tummy!
Merchant Helios of Poast reminds all Supreme Anglo posters that "the pizza woman is honorary."
The match begun with a rough start, and not merely from the girls' perspective. A few buttheads tried to fag up the poll with literal fag posts. A few didn't follow the "NO FUN ALLOWED" rule (:WatameChibiSmug:). A few told the host to suck it. Technical problems caused the votes to get miscounted. Everything has calmed down since, but what was left in the wake of that mess?
Tomoko herself has had a rough start. Staying in bed past the alarm, while Tsumugi was up and out, the Fujo of Watamote barely scrambled together supporters to catch up. Mugi-chan is already pounding hard ready on her keys to rock the Fedi with bangers.
Tomoko bros need to go out if they want their "literally me" girl to have a chance.

The Fluffy Tail Mafia regained their strength last match with Senko-san's crushing fuwa victory over Lina the Sorceress. With that, we are no half-way through Round Two and nearly two-thirds of the way through the whole Tournament. Time flies when you are having fun.
Today, we have the popular unpopular fujo girl facing the popular-to-us popular-to-them nice girl.
** 2. Tomoko Kuroki / Watamote! **
The famous fujo comes back after the fierce round with Bocchi the Rock. Tomoko is a bit of a contraversial

** RR 18. Tsumugi Katabuki / K-On! **
Mugi-bros unite! The mascot of the Mugicha Club and main sponser of this tournament has made it to round two. With her classy and innocent school girl charm, Mugi-chan has sailed easily. Mugi will have a slightly better advantage than Tomoko.
Vrill_Oreilly from the Comfy Boy Club declared all the way back from the first Royal Rumble, "WE"RE GONNA KILL YOU NIGGAS" as a warning to anti-Mugi voters
Unfortunately, there are not many quotations are could gather for either girl about the girls themselves without referencing the competing girls. That is why if you want to see what you and others are saying, be sure to sing your girl's praises in case she moves on to the quarterfinals.

With the loss of Raphtalia, the Fluffy Tail Mafia, or the Fluffy Tail Menace depending on whom you ask, felt another loss and their influence waning. This match may prove to be relief for them.
** RR 28. Lina Inverse / Slayers **
Our devious sorceress had an easy time last round. Not many people voted, yet she carried the the match the whole match. Cool, collected. But I will be lying if I only sung Lina's praises and not give the reality that Lina will have a harder time against Senko.
Christi Junior likes to remind everyone that if you have to choose between two girls you really like, you choose "the hotter one. You already know she's the better-looking one, and you could always end up watching her show and loving her personality, whereas Plain Jane won't suddenly go from 6/10 to 10/10." Interesting anime aesthetics philosophy!
Lavaearth loves to play-bully girls. "Lina is also fun to bully and fluster."
Sou deska? Hopefully Lina receives playful bullying rather than devastating booty blasting from Senko.
** 9. Senko / The Helpful Fox Senko-san **
What a monster (girl)! Senko the helpful mommy-wife fox won the most votes with the current voting system and the highest percentage of votes of all girls, old and new systems.
Senko is all about showing real women how to be the perfect woman, which makes her a strong fighter in this tournament. She does not have many special powers, but her simplicity may be all she needs to defeat Lina and her Dragon Slave spell.
Awoo declares, "ONWARD TO FLUFFY TAIL DOMINATION AND A BETTER FUTURE FOR HUMANITY!!!"
Gundog reminds us that cute fox girls are the Japanese' better, more efficient version of women.

Comrades vote for Senko and for the right of man to his fluffy tail or she will send you to gulag!" A grave warning for those that would defy the Fluffy Tail Mafia! Perhaps this warning could have helped Raphtalia?
The Osaka have tried hard to keep their girl in a large lead since the last update, but many Tatsumaki fans refuse to let them shake off the psychic heroine. Still, with already sixty-plus people voting, can the Tornado of Terror use her power to find more voters? We will find out tomorrow!

(ROUND 2) MATCH #17: 32. AYUMU "OSAKA" KASUGA VS. 17. TATSUMAKI
Thirty-two girls came into the tournament and sixteen girls remain. We start the round off with the controversial meme girl from Osaka facing off the psychic Tornado of Terror.
We're also going to be doing things a little different this time. Instead of introducing the girls, which we have already done in both the Royal Rumble and Round One, the host will share his toughts then give what other Fedi friends said about the girls previously.
Osaka is the most controversial figure in this whole tournament. Barely getting enough votes during the Royal Rumble to even be considered a wild card. She only got a wild card spot because the host decided to let people choose how to deteremine those, and Miia did not automatically bump Osaka out due to a coin flip on the host's part. Both the tie breaker match and the first round match were rife with cheating and Osaka statistically did not have the advantage prior to warrent the numbers she did pull in the first round. Added to that is all the behind-scenes drama and tech and medical problems that prevented full verification of the match. If anything, Osaka is only here due to sheer dumb, sometimes literally dumb, luck. But sheer dumb luck may be what she needs to win Round Two.
We had some detractors who didn't want Osaka in the tournament at all, like William_The_Dragonborn: "Osaka is a literal nobody!"
Both pro-Miia and pro-Megumin Fedi frens are circling the waters ready to trounce on the quiet school girl and all who think this match against Tatsumaki is that shrimple. See for example DEERBLOOD's spicy comment: "Osaka fans should not give up sucking balls and eating cock ass"
Wolf Girls in Wheat Field tried to calm the outrage "Our Osaka is an old school weeb icon that has resurged in popularity recently because memes involving her. Notice how nobody remembers Haruhi despite being huge at the same time, curious?"
Tatsumaki is the last winner using the Plemora poll method. As the results are most likely inflated, her performance last round does not give a flattering look for her if you scaled the second match as if it was voted with the current system. Then again, Osaka's and Megumin's votes were hyper-inflated so what do I know? Tatsumaki is liked by many, but not beloved and when you think of a girl that Osaka could fight, Tatsumaki is one of them. But with the current system in place and virtually no room for cheating, Tonado fans and anti voters could have a field day today?
Not many Fedi friends commented on Tatsumaki alone without referencing Lain, but some did.
