apparently, the guy doing the decomp for starfox 64 tried using recomp but it "doesn't seem to support overlapping vram addresses for overlays. Although wiseguy says it's gonna be supported soon."

so maybe we will see it in the near future.

My game is gonna be dope. I'm biased but I'm enjoying it so far, even with all the rough edges. Every now and then something will happen in the game that I didn't expect out didn't remember and I'll get hype. Hopefully you'll have a good time with it too! I think there's something special about it, but my brain keeps on giving me a punch and saying "no dumbass it's just like every other rpg maker game."

@leyonhjelm @moi @caekislove i got my switch right when they announced they were coming out with a new model that would get rid of the hardware exploit for homebrew use. i knew that someone, some day, would make a mod of smash ultimate to make it better and by golly i was right.

i will probably buy the switch 2 when it comes out and try to keep it offline/not updated for as long as i can, hopefully some hacks come along for it too.

My life will probably be in a weird state of flux for the next couple of years. I imagine I'll probably move with my mom over the next little while, then maybe I'll move to the east coast with my brother after that. Just kind of weird because you know, you kind of get it pounded into your head that you have to have pretty much everything figured out by the time you're 30 and I'm nowhere close to any notion of having figured shit out. I know that's not REALLY the case, but it always feels like that anyway. Would have been nice to be a normal human with a house and a little family by now... You know?

@icedquinn I think there is a good chance it doesn't come out. Or when it does, it'll really not be anywhere near as good as anyone wants it to be. They seem to mainly have a focus on making random items and animations for characters and I can imagine it all resulting in there being a lot of stuff but not a whole lot to actually do. It'll be even more of a doll house simulator than the sims is. I mean, hopefully that's not the case, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

@Ronnie21093 it still hasn't launched outside of Japan, and it's pretty damn dead. Bad monetization, gear has no cosmetics, no player store, the same content repeated over and over, no housing, etc.

We'll probably see a surge in players and people talking about it when it launches globally.

@freddie_the_fed @Tamamo I watched him back when he did creepy gaming. Then he started doing rants about shit and had some weird takes and then his channel became a drama channel more than anything else.

The dude downloaded and played Sad Satan knowing there was CP in it for the content (where he pretends to be viciously sick to his stomach but continues playing anyway). I think that's a little dubious. It's obviously censored, but it would have been better to, idk, not capitalize on that shit.

There were also a few times he didn't censor certain deep web links on the lists he'd go through for his videos and I never noticed anyone else pointing that out. I reported the videos but idk if they got removed or censored or anything.

No longer a fan, to say the least. He's got some weird stuff going on but is able to hide it just well enough for most people to not notice unless you've been in the trenches a bit. This gay panda dude knows. With how often this shit happens you begin to notice a pattern. When I was younger I chalked it up to him just making mistakes or something but looking back on it, If I was mature enough to notice that kind of stuff was sketchy then surely he should have been.

@RehnSturm256 @riserise it's because you're meant to get a gaming pc as a way to do multiple things with it. It doesn't JUST game, you can do a lot more and you theoretically have a lot more freedom with the games. If you're playing online, that extra $300 will make itself up within a few years anyway too.
