It's interesting to see the entire thing that happened after Musk started turning Twitter into X to happen again with the whole "Telegram cozying up even more with its Nazi and right wing user base".

Everyone seems to have their own idea of what the best platform to move to is (or stay on for that matter). It's a bit chaotic right now and most will stay on Telegram or at least also keep using it for now (me included).
But it's nice to see the platform debate being refreshed again. And for every 100 or maybe thousands of users that stay maybe 1 will try something new and maybe even like it.

Also it's a nice opportunity for the platform programmers to make some user friendly choices to try and grab up some of those users looking for new spaces :3

I'm rooting for Signal btw but I know it has lots to do if it wants to compete with Teles feature set ^^

I think yesterday was one of the most depressing tech support sessions I ever had.
The topic doesn't actually matter much but the absolute lack of basics was just crushing. And I had to do all that over the PHONE! :neofox_cry_loud:

Operating System: Windows 7

Right clicking: ❌

Opening File Explorer: ❌

Returning to the desktop: ❌

Pressing any kind of button combination: ❌

Using the Start-Menu: ❌

I'm not even joking! I spent almost an hour alone trying to explain to them how to open their USB stick to check for a file Dx

My new credit card has a cashback program and I absolutely hate how they implemented it. It subtracts the cashback directly from every expense, which fucks with my expenses tracking. When I buy something and pay with the card, I usually enter the expense right away, but then I look at the transactions and of course it actually cost less due to the cashback. I wish they would just bundle the cashback and transfer it once per month...
