Rare Josh L.

sneeden,

@RustyCrab looked up 'nobara' and the first thing that appeared was some anime character, but apparently, it's fedora with "user friendly fixes"

@sneeden oh, so fedora with ubuntu-style third party stuff enabled. Yeah that's the one area where fedora has sucked so far. It's not a huge problem if you know what you're doing but it keeps me from recommending it over ubuntu to starters.

Still I'm not sure I'd trust a third party group like that. It would be way better to just distribute that as a script to enable third party stuff or something.

@RustyCrab @sneeden I think Bluefin or whatever they call it is just that, some scripts on top of Fedora Silverblue.

@RustyCrab Streaming is a quantum computing activity. It always breaks, even if you never change a single thing between one stream and the next.

Eh I kinda don't blame him but the bonus of learning how to identify what went wrong means you can fix it in the future. Then it does just werk. I definitely wouldn't suggest Arch to someone who doesn't want to troubleshoot though. Just use ubuntu at that rate.
