Paradox games are normally very easy to do minor changes to. I used to do it a lot in CK 2. Haven't really bothered with Stellaris though. @lichelordgodfrey

@givenup@Awoo@wgiwf With the "AI Performance Mod" that's less of a concern for me.
I was playing with the "Rogue Maid" replacement mod (replaces Rogue Servitor) for awhile but that save game's kaput. It loads fine, but when it (via autosave) or I try to save later on, the game is stuck trying to save the game. The music's still playing, menus are still interactable to an extent, hotkeys still work. Just stuck saving.

ancient cache of technology and stuff
mods that make hte mid and end games brutally harder, but the tech compensates trillions of fleet power by late late game, planetoid sized spacecraft.

You should look into the "AI Performance Mod" because it makes the AI have a huge hit to their pop growth, but in return they get massive bonuses to resource generation. They almost never hit more than 1000 pops unless they colonize a lot of planets before you can hem them in.
Of course, with Gigastructural Engineering, they could just create deep space interstellar habitats and create new systems.. lol.

I had to rethink about using Gigastrucural Engineering when I went to their discord for some troubleshooting (they disabled the ability to comment on the workshop mod) and I go swarmed by UwU and Rainbow flags as I joined. @givenup@wgiwf

0 AI has been bugged for awhile and I don't know if the latest patch fixed it. Certain pre-FTLs still spawn as do the Chosen. @givenup@wgiwf

Humans are another one that have a habit of spawning regardless of settings. Which is weird because they are not even guaranteed to spawn normally. @givenup@wgiwf
