@RustyCrab hey, claws up, at least it's friday. Could always be worse.
But yeah, I agree with d. You don't have to quit today, but maybe it would help your mental health to have a plan to quit in say a year?
@inertia yes I have a potential lead somewhere and I need to follow up on that really soon...
this is going to massively suck either way. I don't know if the business hires whites but I'll never know if I don't try.
@inertia one of my former white coworkers is looking for a job and he hasn't found anything anywhere after about 2 months. He's been sending out resumes like crazy.
@binkle@inertia he got laid off with a lot of nonwhite coworkers as well but I don't think they are actively looking. Not that I blame them because they need a long break after what they went though. I was honestly really distressed that I wasn't fired with them. At least then I wouldn't have survivors guilt and could get unemployment.
@RustyCrab@inertia that's rough - but it I'd say it reflects well on the quality of your work that you made the cut. Hopefully that bodes well for wherever you go :blobcatcomfy:
@RustyCrab@inertia I just got told by a pajeet hiring manager I couldn't understand I didn't have enough years of professional experience working on tech, without being asked what my qualifications were. For a $17-19 an hour job
@Pawlicker@RustyCrab weird that it happened twice then. Also tried to get that certain pony enjoyer not to join the army, but ehhh not sure if it worked.
I don't know if you exercise much, but if you do some running or the like it can help clear your mind. Also, try to supplement your B's and D's. Hard to get enough this time of year. Especially D.
@PodunkPotato@deprecated_ii I exercise a lot. It's situational and I don't think there's anything I can do to make it better without dramatic changes (quitting)
