"Girls watch out for other girls" shouldn't really apply if the other girl has a private jet that takes a flight between two airports in the same city

Why are so many people so keen to simp for another billionaire because they believe she's a ?

Taylor Swift's gender does not make her less of a polluter.

It is in the common interest that we know how billionaires use their private jet.

@yassie_j ig for me the thing that always confuses me about the private jet thing is like: what is the criteria for people being watched

is it everyone who owns a private jet?
Or who charters private flights?
Or is it just every billionaire who also uses flights
is it just key individuals that people feel should be being watched because 'well reasons?'

Like generally I see why certain people should track these flights but idk why it needs to be public either, and then should we extend it to tour buses or like having an entourage? Is there a like carbon limit on how much should qualify 'an individual' person for being publically tracked and does this extend to people who work on boards of oil companies as well? Idk I just get so confused about the private jet tracking because it seems to offer no solution to reducing emissions and also seems to idk ignore the fact that individual carbon emissions are the extreme minority issue when talking about the overall climate crisis. To be clear I think its funny watching the rich people squirm over people tracking their flights but I also don't see how it solves/ gains anything? Idk it feels like more media garbage to keep people in the headlines constantly, if taylor isn't carrying a headline for the 500th album we're instead talking about how evil/ climate contributing she is. Shes still the headline and all the media can vulture off money on topics and feelings but like outside of that what does the tracking do?

@OblivionMagician in the case of T Swift her emissions, personally, are like a small country’s worth and that’s just on private jets. Tour buses are going to emit a load less of emissions than a private jet and they’re working vehicles, so they have a purpose (even if they are for vanity).

@yassie_j @OblivionMagician "your emissions are like a small country's worth" sounds like a playground insult ngl

@Ukko @subtype @OblivionMagician your mom is so big that there’s a Mastodon account tracking her like a jet

@yassie_j If Taylor Swift wouldn't want people to know she takes private flights all the time, she would just use planes that aren't literally owned by her -- chartering is what most rich people do to not get tracked. If it's a case of "I must own the plane", make a shell company without your name on it. Cmon this is like making a public post on the Mastodon Network and complaining it's visible from other instances.

@subtype @yassie_j Bcs also the "tracking" and "public dox" and whatever you wanna call it is one of the things you have to agree to internationally when you fly a plane, otherwise no one can even know your plane has crashed or gotten lost when it does

@Ukko @subtype WDYM the aviation safety authorities have a vested interest in knowing where aircraft are??? The FAA are just trying to keep a queen down!!!
