@nyx I would say that's pretty accurate honestly, I've often thought of most people doing it as "people who can't handle one relationship trying their hand at twenty"

@Arcana @nyx I imagine that at some point they will grow out of sleeping around when they realize they actually want a stable, functional relationship

@7666 @Arcana the thing is that it would be healthier for most people to just admit that they want to sleep around a lot instead of having to label everything as a "relationship". most people I've observed who are poly impose that label onto something that could function better if it was more like, "yeah I like this person and we fuck sometimes but we both know there's no potential for any long-term commitment here and that's fine"

@nyx @Arcana @7666 its because people define relationship in terms of sex basically, its such an awful and reductive perspective
