In the Digital Trenches
You know what? You flipped the switch in my mind,
Convinced me to leave the fediverse behind.
On the fence, I sat, willing to give it weeks,
Searching for voices, amidst the shrieks.
But here I am, thinking it through,
Finding no signal, just noise to subdue.
Not worth the effort, not worth my breath,
I'd be better off elsewhere, avoiding digital death.
Reddit looms, despite its flaws,
A haven from the wokeness, its strangling claws.
Searching for discourse, for a mature debate,
Far from the chaos that children create.
Wading through the mire, I can't stand the spam,
Echoes of ignorance, a digital dam.
Hoping for a space where adults converse,
Not trampled by antics, a childish curse.
I doubt we'll find it, that digital shore,
Where ideas flow freely, forevermore.
But the dream lingers, a beacon in the night,
For a platform where discourse takes flight.
So here's to the future, a hope still alive,
For a space where respect and maturity thrive.
May the digital world find its guiding light,
A place for all voices, shining bright.
