In the interest of security, we just deactivated 72 inactive accounts on NCD. This is done periodically. Unfortunately this drops the numbers down, but it is what it is. We are happy to accept new members into our little home, but part of my responsibility is pruning, so to speak.
@bot@matty@n3f_X because inactive accounts are most likely to get compromised. Its actually the event that cloudflare used as an excuse to drop KF. The site was getting hit with thousands of automated login attacks per second. Suddenly an account that had been inactive for multiple years suddenly springs to life and starts fedposting.
@bot@matty@n3f_X technically yes but 2FA is a huge PITA and would be disliked by most people. Frankly I dont think modern software should let users pick passwords unless its like 24 characters and passes an entropy test
That and you can recognize regulars by their posting habits, a radical departure from their norm always raises eyebrows. glowniggers want it to look like they've been around for a while, but they've always struggled when playing the long game.
