First day with my new audio setup. Don't worry I'm not getting on the audiophile train or anything.

First thing I did was load up some 192k FLACs of Berlioz's Symphony Fantastique and noticed some lack of flute resolution (definitely colored brown when it should be purple). I manually adjusted the wave balance until the signal stopped ovulating. Some distortion persisted until I checked my balanced XLR cables and discovered that they were not entirely oxygen free. I immediately ordered some new ones on amazon for a few hundred dollars. I also tested the amp and found elevated Thetan levels. Does anybody know how to reduce those?

@RustyCrab have you heard of these new specialized instruments that can drastically modulate the audible frequency response curve? And get this, they work for any audio setup. Doesn't matter what brand your speakers are. Crazy right? Now of course they are rather difficult to use, but trust me, it's worth it! Just ask the nearest licensed birthing person for a quick tutorial.

@inertia yes friend. You fill the unused output ports of the DAC with these and it prevents frequency leakage

use the more modern version instead

@smug @inertia yes that's an excellent idea. I could have 7 or 8 of these hanging out of my DAC

@smug @RustyCrab @inertia no thanks, don't want to shove veiny cocks into my ear

thatbrickster,

@smug MMCX is so last decade. At least with 2-pin I can finger both my ports not just one.

@RustyCrab different suggestion, but have you tried listening to Beethoven with these baby's on? It will change your life.

@inertia ooohhh q-tips can serve two purposes then

@RustyCrab yeah kinda crazy. Never would have assumed that the office team building party sticks could be used for other things than building towers.

FUCK THIS GOT ME GOOD I CHOKED

a7,

@RustyCrab im not yet audiophile, but i did get some edifiers for my birthday this year, fucking amazing coming from logitechs, just gave family open ended option "some speakers that sound nice mine are stuck at mono" and they went all the fuck out.

a7,

@RustyCrab listen to music like 10x as much and also play guitar more, they just sound so nice

@RustyCrab problem's likely in the I/O path. you're using isolated networking gear and storage cables, right?

@r000t @RustyCrab There are audiophile companies on Amazon still selling 10 megabit cables and switches for thousands of dollars, while one page over you can get dirt-cheap Chinese fiber optic equipment that is insanely better than any copper wire.

@Moon @r000t don't let your binary streams be wobbled by bad cables friend only invest in the best

@Moon @RustyCrab sometimes I wish I was willing to lie to people so that I could sell audiophile equipment to stupid people

Are you sure you're not an audiophile? cause this post is amazing and enraging if taken seriously. For me, it's coloring the flute lmao.

@thegreatape alas I am still entry level :niggapensivecowboy:

neko,

@RustyCrab I almost fell for believing this. This is how all audiophiles sound to me
