@zero the last alienware monitor I had got abused a lot and it had zero burn in ever. IPS display I'm pretty sure.

The biggest issue I had was that if you played a dark game everything just looked like a dim blob. Blacks sucked in other words.

The text on it looked fuzzy and awful. I tried checking around to other monitors to see if it was a fucked up windows install or something but everything else looked fine

@soapone that's a good question. I just looked at the resolution and saw it was at native. I'll check next time.

It didn't LOOK scaled up though from what I have seen. I had a similar size/red monitor before and the text looked native

Windows can be both crappy and good regarding scaling, so if everything was fucked up then it was the monitor.

Also, DPI plays a big part. What was the size and res?

also yeah, i've heard that OLED monitors are blurrier than LCDs or others.

@mischievoustomato @soapone it didn't look like the DPI was scaled for this but I didn't check. I had like 30 seconds to check it out before an employee started harassing me trying to do a high pressure sale

Heh, normally I'm not that snarky, but would ask related questions that they likely wouldn't know. Occasionally they will answer correctly and will make me consider things slightly more.
