The thing that makes electric cars so expensive is the battery replacement every dozen years or so.
I literally can't use one regardless because I make somewhat regular driving trips in excess of 1000 miles.

Google Domains being sold to Sqaurespace screwed me hard... I've mostly been using the domains I have through Porkbun, so I didn't realize that until tonight really. I got a /mppp/ payment reminder email, which was for the invoice I paid already. No biggie, but I go to email back and boom, undelivered email notice. No DNS records were copied over, and payment info is required to edit DNS on Squarespace. I knew Google sucked, but I'm never doing business with Squarespace either now :reee:

since our new friends are unfamiliar, i usually do maintenance over night on weekends and this week is no different :grafstare:

tonight's task: working on the matrix.

i've brought our config in line with the current config as outlined in the new documentation since the last time it was revisited was 3 years ago.

added users the ability to create their own spaces. now you can create a discord-like "server" complete with your own rooms and community with ease using the element client (or any that support the spaces feature which i think now is most clients)

will be working manually on the matrix database tonight as it's once again almost 1TB on disk. dont expect any downtime but it is possible. there will likely be downtime tomorrow overnight while a full vacuum is completed to remove what's left from me compressing room states tonight.

Why would people complain about using them as a payment processor? gabpay is cheaper than anything else from what I can tell, thinking about switching to them myself. Its been around long enough that I don't think it would be terrible.

@RustyCrab neh, the tl;dr is the faggots and furries (same thing) picked up on it for a few years in the middle. Now that they are moving away from the MLP fandom the cool people are coming back and are more noticeable. Lots of oldfags are either back to making pone or came up with some new interesting stuff to show off (such as myself).

@RustyCrab there are a couple other reasons too besides overall less faggots. the TV show got shitty around that time until the end. Only a few episodes are worth watching across season 7 8 and 9. G5 is even worse so everyone is ignoring it

today i'll be migrating poast domains off njalla control so there may be random times where some of you may not be able to reach poast as the DNS servers change. thats to be expected. njalla is pozzed (i made a thread about this in 2021 but they seemed to clean up their act)
