@jeff So basically either e621 admins do dumb shit again or furry artists have a normal one and put themselves on the e621 DNP list for some reason or another.
@jeff no e621 is known to be a rotting site because so many artists had meltdowns online or wanted to protest e621 jannies by shooting themselves in the foot so a lot of art you could find 5-10 years ago is gone or hosted on obscure sites or buried in some furries HDD under some image hash filename.
@jeff Problem 1 is that you need to scrape an assload of data. Problem 2 is you need to have competent IT skills to do more than just run Windows Update or link computers to AD or hit reset on the servers (which is the most skills most furries have if they're wagies). Problem 3 is you need to keep the damn site open and deal with militant furries leading gayops (this is why the original e621 incarnation which didn't give two shits and a fuck about "artists rights" shut down, it was too high profile and some "drawings have rights" gayopper was making threats and he pussied out and would get a sex change years later).
There's a tor booru but it's missing a lot. There was furry.booru.org which was an e621 rip but it went down because GEE GOLLY WILLICKERS FURRIES CANT KEEP SITES UP. There's the FA archive too and it's popular because furries keep deleting.
The database dump e621 publishes still has metadata for deleted files, so you could automate importing of files with an FA url via the FA archive (I was experimenting with try to convert pools to comics, but I'm hesitant to dump all of them on the site at once).
That'd still leave all the stuff from when 2 year old commercial stuff was still allowed. A lot of that stuff is going to stay missing unless someone who was ripping the site in the early 2010s still has everything and is willing to share. You could find a lot of stuff on u18chan digging manually, but that site is in a constant state of disrepair that I'm surprised the owner even bothers to pay for hosting.
