I got bored of Talking Simulator 2077 so I'm giving the regular mode of the long dark a shot now. I am cheating with git by versioning my save files. So far it appears to be working. Sorry nigga I don't have the time to invest in restarting a game again and again because some dumb shit happened.
Honestly though just having fairly long pauses between the save opportunities fucks me up enough. I got stalked by a wolf earlier and had to run and walk backwards for about 8 minutes before I finally found a cave to hide in.
@MMS21 you can do that so long as there's not some external mechanism that fucks with the file, like a registry value or something that sneakily checks if you're cheating. Doom did that for ultra nightmare, for instance, and it would instakill you if you attempted to version it. This game doesn't appear to have any checks as far as I can tell.
Rent went up a lot in the last year so I started researching apartments again only to discover that literally every apartment in my entire city, even the seedy ones, have moved to this same base price within variance of $100. I don't remember it being like this.
@RustyCrab I recently had to endure a conversation two zoomers had in public transport. Apparently 8K TVs have 360 FPS panels and Marvel movies must be running at 60 FPS or more, because it's Marvel and the movies are popular.
Somebody said to me a while back "stop worrying and just use open source like a normie would" and that really stuck with me for some reason. I've had a lot less problems since then.
Me getting math tutoring from the Chevrolet customer service chatbot as the relationship slowly turns serious (it's trying to sell me a car via long con)
