The reason why cars have smooth surfaces around is not just aesthetical, the smooth curves of the surfaces lower the air resistance of the car at higher speeds.

Flat surfaces, like the ones in the "cybertruck", have very high air resistance, because the air applies more pressure against a flat surface.

That's also why airplanes and rockets have a cylindrical shape with a completely rounded tip, and not a cuboid shape with a completely flat tip.

You don't need to work at NASA to understand such a basic concept, which makes me wonder where Elon got his engineers to work at Tesla.
