I'd love to see a measure other than GDP, like HDI but on a shorter timescale.

Taking science into your own hands (stomach)

@gabriel OG scientists tested on themselves. they were chads.

bioethics people mostly belong in the gulag though. but then i kind of think informed consent is all you need :comfywoozy:

Would be interesting to see the where people would end up.
PS: Quadrant positioning is arbitrary

New political compass is something like "wanted to fix institutions" vs "wants to start fresh" on the vertical, and "believes in trust based systems" vs "believes in trustless systems" on the horizontal. Will pluralism and polarization on this compass be just as tough as on the usual one?

If XML Namespaces suck why does JSON-LD exist?
Photo

To ask more explicitly, if XML/JSON can include arbitrary data, why formalize something else?

icedquinn,
@icedquinn@blob.cat avatar

@gabriel because the jsonites are just poorly reinventing stuff that SGML already figured out.

The problem with making a living selling others out is that you always end up being sold out yourself.

BREAKING: On the 2-year anniversary of the Federal Government illegally invoking war measures against its citizens and targeting key protestors in Ottawa by freezing their bank accounts, today Tamara Lich, Chris Barber, Tom Marazzo, Danny Bulford and other protestors who were targeted by Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland have filed lawsuits against the Federal Government. Sec. 24 of our Charter of Rights and Freedoms gives Canadians the right to sue their government for damages when Charter rights are violated. Doing so affirms the seriousness of respecting Charter rights and is intended to deter future governments from breaching Canadians’ fundamental rights. The lawsuits seek $2 million in damages.

Hyolobrika,

What I meant was that any “community of people like you” should be on land that is fairly acquired and you promise not to kick out anyone living there already.

Have you heard of seasteading?

binkle,
@binkle@clubcyberia.co avatar

@Hyolobrika @gabriel ah yes I see. Personally I would prefer to purchase land rather than seastead but I do understand why people are so interested
