@Giganova8 When I was playing that one board game I mentioned a few days ago, I swapped out my character's actual token with a Momiji one. Funny Awoo signed a lot of autographs and did her best tanking for the party.
I’m now giving people who I really like “the teal stripe of basedness” this is for those who are not on Shota.house, but generally post good content. So far, I’ve only distributed a couple.
Shota house members already get priority, since I spent like 90% of my time on the public timeline.
@Awoo@MeBigbrain@lichelordgodfrey The good old days when it really was just guys in armor with shoulder pads bigger then their heads getting into gun fights with green soccer hooligans.
Hullabaloo on Twitter over the Lovely Complex dub, leftoid freak writer bragged about fixing the anime, discotek responded with a defense of the idea of dub changes generally but also said they wouldn’t work with that clown again, so call it a draw. If you can slog through the freaks whole blogpost I think there’s something very illuminating about how poz like this works. Around 20 of the actors hired to voice the project were trannies. Why? Because the project was done basically for free, and only the most freakish leftoids are willing to work when the pay is shit or if there’s no pay, because advancing their worldview is payment enough. If we can’t match that zealotry we’re in trouble.
@udongle@Awoo@rher@Spingebill@jimmybuffettfanaccount You don't even need to have controversial opinions, Scott Cawthon got chased out of his own franchise for the crime of donating to Republican candidates.
I agree though a lot of people who risk getting roasted over the fires of social justice either don't put themselves out there or keep those beliefs tight lipped.
@Awoo@rher@udongle@Spingebill@jimmybuffettfanaccount I mean, you're not wrong that he was already stepping away anyways. I'm just pointing out that anyone who starts gaining traction could easily have the rug pulled out from under them for completely mundane things.
@Groomschild@Awoo@MK2boogaloo It's fine I'm not actually hunting for a party to join atm anyways. I just hadn't heard of anything about it before now.
I got some pretty funny stories from the campaign I ran on Varis about a year ago myself.
@MK2boogaloo@Awoo@Groomschild Well on the lighter end, the first one shot I ran to test the waters with them ended with one party member deciding he didn't actually want to disarm the bomb it was centered around, causing him to prematurely detonate it himself insta gibbing him and another party member who had offered a help check to his roll. While this was happening the party also kinda just watched a Crab person drag the party's monk into the ocean.
@Awoo@Groomschild@MK2boogaloo I could also tell you about my a Dwarf Paladin I played who will live down in memory as the guy who beat a thug to death with a chair leg.
Long story short he had willingly let himself get caught to spare the mayor of the town from getting hurt as he was being held hostage. Was more or less buying time before the hellraisers in the party did something stupid without their babysitter around (The Warforged Pirate Barbarian used a goblin as a shovel to dig a grave in the center of town while this was happening), and in a scramble I proceeded to use the chair leg as a bludgeoning tool to smite the guy who was trying to win me over in the town brig. A couple members of the town including a liaison for a criminal faction I wanted nothing to do with came in thinking they were going to come save me only to see me holding a stolen knife thinking they were reinforcements for the guy I just killed.
@Awoo@Groomschild@MK2boogaloo Other highlights from this campaign I played in include the party's Druid wandering into the woods and watching a random child incidentally die to a bear. After the Druid gave the kid a burial, like 3 sessions later when we were storming the local thugs hideout his mom asked us if we could look for him and gave us info on a secondary entrance to their hideout. Party broke out into nervous laughter as most of us realized what had happened but didn't know enough in character to say anything.
Another funny time was a Dragonborn Rogue deciding that he was more then capable of 1v1ing an Ogre. I gave him a shield of faith and a pat on the back before I got held down and wailed on by three Orcs who had fucking T-posed over a river with their movement skill, only to watch the Ogre critical strike and hit the Rogue so hard he lost his arm. We then spent the rest of the session trying to save said Rogue as the Ogre and his boss had decided to take him hostage.
Overall it was a fun campaign that ended up falling apart due to schedules unfortunately.
@SNEK@Awoo@SuperSnekFriend@wgiwf Truth be told the reason I had this image made was a dumb inside joke with my friends. We had an emote called :Texas: which was of Char. Everytime someone posted something about Arknights Texas it resulted in spam of the emote so I got this made for the lols.
@DrRyanSkelton@SuperSnekFriend The real fun begins when Gabe retires and the suits that take his play run gaming into the ground with their monopoly. At the very least their are already some competitors that could theoretically step up if needed.
