@binkle@fp chimps don't make good pets and it's because they're violent like humans themselves are actually really violent and dangerous like, they're really hard to herd and manage if you aren't in line with what they want to do not saying they couldn't be domesticated over time but it will take exactly that-- time.
@binkle@fp Like if someone wanted to keep you as a pet and you didn't really like the habitat they'd picked out for you and you wanted to go live in the tree and they want you to live under a fallen log you'd get pretty mad wouldn't you?
@binkle when you can already just indiscriminately kill them without any pang of conscience, you don't really need to expend much thought justifying it. Telling these epic stories about how bad your enemies are seems to be beyond them.
@binkle the bantus really don't like the khoisan and basically massacre them everywhre they find them and a white man isn't there to shake his finger at them and be like "no, bad bantu!"
@binkle probably something like they're all witches and consort with demons and we need to steal some of their hair to make a voodoo counter-charm which will cause them to die of malaria then everyone dies of malaria because it's fucking africa
