Just my thoughts on the upcoming semifinals.

1ST SEMIFINAL MATCH:

32nd Seed Osaka VS 12th Seed Senko

Senko has not only been the strongest and most impressive-looking girl throughout this entire tournament, she has been the single most dominant entity of ANY major Fediverse tournament, ever, even putting someone like Samus to shame - remember, 4 different girls held Samus below 60%, while Senko has yet to even come close to dipping below 60%, and that’s against very respectable opposition. When an iconic, instant classic Waifu like Yor Forger has to work hard just to avoid getting Doubled, you just KNOW that Senko is insane. Senko winning this match, and indeed, the whole tournament seems like a no-brainer at this point.

However, the ancient Fox Loli is going up against an opponent that the rules of common sense don’t apply to. Osaka’s inexplicable, unbelievable underdog run has already overcome the tournament’s #1 Seed, a change in the voting format and a fellow oldfag Meme girl, and if anything she just seems to be gaining strength. At this point I’m no longer reminded of someone like Shanoa in the vidya girl tournament, but Greece in the Euro 2004 soccer championship. NOBODY had any faith in the Greek team, despite it producing giant upset after giant upset, all the way until it reached the finals, at which point everybody suddenly realized that, oh fuck, these niggers really are gonna win it all, aren’t they?

Considering that Senko has already wiped the floor with a girl who has actually BEATEN Osaka, and by a pretty big margin at that, there’s no conceivable reason why Senko shouldn’t nuke the tournament’s bottom seed. But I’m here to tell you that if Osaka manages to withstand Senko’s early onslaught, you better watch out, because it’s hard to imagine Osaka actually losing a close match at this point. And if she does defeat Senko, our underdog heroine is winning it all, like Greece did in 2004.

Major Update

You know what happens when your sleep schedule is messed up? You miss important deadlines like hourly and major updates during heavy voting. :NYNSleepy:

The Fluffy Tail Mafia continues to hold the tourney host and tourney goers hostage, with Holo still holding a major lead over the vampire loli.

But like I said before, Shinobu has powers of her own and is no pushover against the Wise Wolf. Shinobu supports called the loli bros of Varis Hangout and brought a bunch of voters from their to support the other remaining loli, besides Senko-san. This has given Shinobu a place where, with another big push without the Fluffy Tail Mafia defending well, she can threaten Holo's lead and thus her star status as a tourney favorite.

We will see what these two will come up with for the rest of the match. Until the morning, oyasumi Fediverse! :senko_nap:

What a rough and exciting battle! We saw the ultimate turnaround in the last match.
Today is the final quarterfinal match before we get to the real finals next week.

** 3 Holo / Spice and Wolf **

Besides Senko and Osaka, Holo is the other beast that has kept everyone on their toes and off their seats. The Fluffy Tail Mafia is holding their tails hoping the two mofu powergirls will drive their way. Holo is their "main" champion, despite Senko being objectively stronger. Both girls are perfect in everyway. But one can argue that Holo is better as her romance is more fleshed and deeper than the wish fulfillment that Senko belongs to.

In the last werewolf versus vampire match, Wolf Girl in Wheat Fields points out, "Wolfgirl with fangs twice as long." Imagine the love bites!

Zealist worked wonders with Stable Diffusion, offering . Perhaps for this match he can make gothic pics of Holo.

Fedi's resident alt-history writer and husband of a Nazi hellwan, Tactical, pines, "Vampire wolfgirl needed." Don't we all?

** 11. Shinobu Oshino / Monogatari **

While Yor struggled to not get doubled by the wolf goddess, Shinobu has a better shot to take on Holo, Shinobu being supernaturally wonderfully herself. To Shinobu's credit, she defeated the tough opponent Lum who is beloved on the Fedi and has great, objective anime credentials.
While unofficially I support Holo, I salute Shinobu and wish her good luck in this match

Kvit, Shinobu's husbando, has been there for his waifu from the beginning, shouting various slogans like "CUTE VAMP," and "VOTE FOR VAMP!"
He does have a mellow outlook however. "I'm gonna have to go nuts tomorrow and even then I bet chances are low. It's worth a shot though, I believe Shinobu deserves the win." Ganbatte vampire bro!

The Greek philosopher Dicer from Poast has this profound observation, "Unlike real women, Shinobu has compassion."

Major Update

The poor vampire girl is getting crushed this first hour by the fluffy tail. Before this match, Holo held back her full strength, thinking that the she should show her gentle side, but now that she has, she will go all out on her opponents.

Nazuna is psychically strong, but she cannot stop a goddess. Is this match the utter end of the call of thenight, or will the vamp be a worthy opponent for the wise wolf.

Reminder to still vote, even if one girl is clearly going to win early on. It's fun to see how powerfully a girl can win even if it's clear she will.

Thirty-two girls came into the tournament and sixteen girls remain. We start the round off with the controversial meme girl from Osaka facing off the psychic Tornado of Terror.
We're also going to be doing things a little different this time. Instead of introducing the girls, which we have already done in both the Royal Rumble and Round One, the host will share his toughts then give what other Fedi friends said about the girls previously.

** 32. Ayumu "Osaka" Kasuga / Azumanga Daioh **

Osaka is the most controversial figure in this whole tournament. Barely getting enough votes during the Royal Rumble to even be considered a wild card. She only got a wild card spot because the host decided to let people choose how to deteremine those, and Miia did not automatically bump Osaka out due to a coin flip on the host's part. Both the tie breaker match and the first round match were rife with cheating and Osaka statistically did not have the advantage prior to warrent the numbers she did pull in the first round. Added to that is all the behind-scenes drama and tech and medical problems that prevented full verification of the match. If anything, Osaka is only here due to sheer dumb, sometimes literally dumb, luck. But sheer dumb luck may be what she needs to win Round Two.

We had some detractors who didn't want Osaka in the tournament at all, like William_The_Dragonborn: "Osaka is a literal nobody!"

Both pro-Miia and pro-Megumin Fedi frens are circling the waters ready to trounce on the quiet school girl and all who think this match against Tatsumaki is that shrimple. See for example DEERBLOOD's spicy comment: "Osaka fans should not give up sucking balls and eating cock ass"

Wolf Girls in Wheat Field tried to calm the outrage "Our Osaka is an old school weeb icon that has resurged in popularity recently because memes involving her. Notice how nobody remembers Haruhi despite being huge at the same time, curious?"

** RR 17. Tatsumaki / One Punch Man **

Tatsumaki is the last winner using the Plemora poll method. As the results are most likely inflated, her performance last round does not give a flattering look for her if you scaled the second match as if it was voted with the current system. Then again, Osaka's and Megumin's votes were hyper-inflated so what do I know? Tatsumaki is liked by many, but not beloved and when you think of a girl that Osaka could fight, Tatsumaki is one of them. But with the current system in place and virtually no room for cheating, Tonado fans and anti voters could have a field day today?

Not many Fedi friends commented on Tatsumaki alone without referencing Lain, but some did.

From wgiwf: "Tatsumaki doesn't wear underwear, so she has that going for her this round." Wew!

Tatsumaki's chudcel husbando did not appear often during the second match but he did leave the important messages when it counted: "I will remind u guys about tatsu's child bearing hips"

SIC_Guy warned everyone, "You cannot beat our Tatsumaki." We shall see.

Two Announcements

1. I'm delaying the start of Round Two until tomorrow due to my illness acting up.

2. Knowing that there was rampant cheating in match one and Osaka in all honesty is statistically unlikely to be the true winner of the first match, will I do a re-do?
   No, the system of voting we currently have has virtually removed cheating and I predict that Osaka won't make it to quarter-finals, let alone the final match. Plus, the only reason I'm going to allow the win is @Fash@poa.st doing the right thing and pulling in random people to vote for Osaka during that match, and I don't want that behavior punished just because of cheating on both sides.
   If you were hoping for some closure of that issue and are disappointed we won't know for sure who really won that match, then blame SJW for refusing to give me the data from that poll and the cheaters on both sides.

Nevertheless, Osaka will face Tatsumaki tomorrow at 3 PM Eastern Standard Time.

** 11. Shinobu Oshino / Monogatari **

Monogatori is a modern classic. It is such a classic that it makes you wonder why it only has one represenative in the entire tournament. From the memes to the songs to the story, Monogatari has it all. Shinobu, the sole representative from the series, has great power too, being a classic loli and engaging personality that will get all the far right lolicons crawling out of the Varis Hangout woodworks. If you don't like loli, she even has an alternative ara form if she gains enough power.

Our final girl, Liru the Werewolf inhabits a unique and precarious position. She may have won her Royal Rumble from fluffy tail fanatics, but she is more known for her doiujin game nowadays than for her anime, however cultish a classic it may be. She also lacks much fan art and merch that's not outright ero. With no extra girl to take votes from her opponent, and Raphtalia, Senko, and Holo already moving to Round Two, Liru will have a harder time against Shinobu. But, as we have seen before, stranger things have happened.
