That wasn't always the case. I want AAA 8h games back.
I can't play Cyberpunk, but I can BioShock.
I want experiences back. Like games that you pick up and experience for a weekend and thats it.

Aside from the twist that everyone and their non-gamer girl friend already knows, BioShock 1 is kinda ehhh.
2 is the better shooter and 3 is a cool idea as a continuation. I liked tbh. Don't get the hate at all.

So yeah, play those other games. All of them are experiences. Especially Outer Wilds.

As much as illustrators are crying over AI, I can't even imagine what's going through the mind of musicians right now. AI music is on its first iteration and it's already BTFOing the current iteration of AI art. It probably doesn't help that music is fundamentally formulaic.

@RustyCrab eh, as with all AI things they can get it 80% right but will never close the remaining gap. Cause human intelligence is a bit more than just a statistical model.
The progress we are seeing is from like 40% -> 80%. People assume it will just continually get better. I believe there is a hard wall that current solutions will never be able to pass by their limited design.

Vocals absolutely not. We cant even get normal talking right.
For everything in between... I think there is a lot that goes into a song that isn't just melody. Things that people don't consciously notice. Like the metal song you posted, lacked a certain texture or identity. It was too generic to be memorable.

Make me wonder how long a human would take to make such rather simple song. Like if it's only a few hours than AI isn't really a threat? Cause the output of the human is 100% artifact free and can be adjusted later on.

I don't think the reaction of OG internet dwellers to normies hosting the most popular websites should be defeat.

That a niche website doesn't have millions of people on it doesn't particularly matter, because if it were in the before-times, that site also wouldn't have millions. It would have a couple hundred, maybe a couple thousand dedicated users.

I think the proper reaction to normies doing normie things online is to simply ignore them and stay well away. Stop comparing it to other places and just focus on making the site you care about a fun place to be

And then he never 1. use any supernatural powers. In fact I don't think that deal got him anything, but a placebo confidence boost.
2. that woman becomes irrelevant to the story after the deal.

Then he proceeds to never actually ask any questions or get any secret knowledge, but goes wooing a woman.

As a sci-fi fan this was just very underwhelming. I was there for the esoteric knowledge maxxing, not for a dumb love story.
